Jim Banks' Biography
Jim Banks has worked in Republican
and conservative politics for the past seven years.
Jim began his political career with Congressman John
Hostettler (IN-08) in the Bloody Eighth District
where he served in several different capacities - manager,
press secretary, grassroots director and fundraising
director - on Hostettlers successful re-election
campaigns of 2000 and 2002. In 2003, Jim managed a mayoral
campaign in Fort Wayne, Indiana before chasing his future
wife to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in January of
2004.
Jim

organizer. In this capacity, he worked to develop
Family
Policy Councils, a network of Focus-associated
state organizations in nearly 40 states, and their
501(c)4 organizations. In this position, Jim developed
grassroots networks to register voters, pass conservative
ballot initiatives and organize GOTV efforts in the
2004 election cycle.
Jim left Focus on the Family in
the summer of 2005 to start Jim Banks Consulting,
LLC which is now The Wabash Group, LLC, a political
consulting, public relations and public affairs company.
In the 2006 election cycle, Jim served as an associate
to Patrick Davis Consulting, LLC. Jim has learned
from Patrick the fundamentals
of political consulting and public affairs work.
In 2006, Jim managed the congressional
campaign of Jeff Crank in CO-5. In addition, he consulted
three U.S. congressional candidates, two statewide
ballot initiative campaigns, and several down ballot
candidates and campaigns. Also in the 2006 cycle,
Jim founded and managed a 527 organization and consulted
businesses and non-profit organizations on grassroots
and public relations projects.

Columbia City. Jim serves as Whitley County Republican
Chairman, member of the Indiana Family Action PAC
board, and director on the Allen County Right to Life
